Olympic Medal: Men's Giant Slalom

SESTRIERE, Italy, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Benjamin Raich of Austria won the Olympic gold medal Monday in the men's giant slalom.

Joel Chenal of France took the silver and Hermann Maier of Austria the bronze.

American Bode Miller finished tied for sixth after completing the first run in 12th place.
