FORT MYERS, Fla., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Right-hander Kyle Lohse of the Minnesota Twins Friday won his arbitration hearing against the team for a second straight year.

The 27-year-old Lohse will earn $3.95 million for the 2006 season.

He was awarded $2.4 million through arbitration a year ago, despite a 9-13 mark and also was just 9-13 in 2005 with an ERA of 4.18.

"On my end I felt that I was unfortunate that it had to go to that point for a second year," Lohse said. "I'm just glad now that it's over and I can concentrate on baseball."

He has a 49-52 career record with an ERA of 4.72 ERA in five major league seasons, all with the Twins and becomes the first player to win an arbitration case in back-to-back seasons since Doug Drabek beat Pittsburgh in 1990 and 1991 and Wally Joyner won over the Angels those same two years.
