NBA: New Jersey 95, Charlotte 94

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Vince Carter tipped in his own miss with 9.6 seconds left Wednesday night to boost New Jersey to a 95-94 win over Charlotte.

Carter had 19 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and two steals; Richard Jefferson had 25 points and 10 rebounds, Nenad Krstic totaled 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists; and Jason Kidd added 11 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Nets (28-23), who won on the road for the first time since Jan. 18 at Philadelphia.

Brevin Knight had 28 points, two rebounds and three assists; Jumaine Jones had 18 points, eight rebounds and two assists; Melvin Ely added 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots; and Matt Carroll had 14 points, three assists and two rebounds for Charlotte (14-40), which goes into the All-Star break with the fewest wins in the NBA.
