Giuliani heads U.S. Olympic delegation

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was selected by U.S. President George Bush to lead the U.S. delegation at the closing ceremonies at the Winter Olympics.

Giuliani will head a four-person official delegation to the Feb. 26 closing ceremonies in Turin, Italy. The former New York mayor will be joined by U.S. Ambassador to Italy Ronald Spogli.

Also selected to the U.S. delegation were race car driver Mario Andretti and National Italian American Foundation President A. Kenneth Ciongoli.

First lady Laura Bush led the U.S. delegation at the Olympic opening ceremonies last Friday.
