
DETROIT, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and two assists Sunday as the Detroit Red Wings beat Colorado, 6-3.
Tomas Holmstrom, Mathieu Schneider and Henrik Zetterberg all had one goal and one assist; Jason Williams and Brendan Shanahan also scored goals; and Manny Legace made 20 saves for the Red Wings (39-13-5), who won six straight games heading into the Olympic break.
Dan Hinote had a goal and an assist; Patrice Brisebois and Milan Hejduk also had goals; Andrew Brunette, Marek Svatos, Cody McCormick and Joe Sakic added assists while David Aebischer allowed five goals on 38 shots for the Avalanche (32-21-6), who had a three-game winning streak broken.
Detroit out-shot Colorado, 39-23.
On the power play, the Avalanche went 0-for-3. The Red Wings were 1-for-4.
