
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Jamie Langenbrunner scored two goals Tuesday as the New Jersey Devils beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-4 for their eighth straight home victory.
Scott Gomez added a goal and three assists for the Devils, who have won three of their last four overall. New Jersey's last loss at home was Dec. 31 against Toronto. Paul Martin had a goal and two assists for the Devils.
Colin White, John Madden and Patrik Elias also scored for New Jersey, which got 31 saves from Martin Brodeur.
Vincent Lecavalier scored twice for the Lightning, who had their three-game winning streak halted. Evgeny Artyukhin and Darryl Sydor also tallied goals for the Lightning, while Pavel Kubina and Brad Richards each had two assists.
John Grahame allowed four goals on 22 shots, while Sean Burke allowed three goals on eight shots in the second period.
