ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- John Daly and Jose Maria Olazabal were added Tuesday to this year's ballots for the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Daly, a five-time winner on the PGA Tour and four-time international winner, was nominated on the PGA Tour ballot. He owns two major championships, the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 British Open.
Olazabal has 29 victories worldwide, including a pair of Masters titles. The Spaniard amassed 21 European Tour wins, six PGA Tour titles and two victories in Japan. Olazabal, a six-time Ryder Cupper, was named on the International ballot.
Both are new nominees because they turn 40 years old during 2006.
The highest vote-getters from last year on the PGA Tour ballot in 2006 are Larry Nelson, Curtis Strange, Henry Picard and Craig Wood. Davis Love III, Fred Couples, Lanny Wadkins, Fuzzy Zoeller and Mark O'Meara also appear on the PGA Tour ballot.
