PULLMAN, Wash., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Josh Akognon had 14 points and three assists Saturday as Washington State upset 15th-ranked Washington, 77-64.

Aron Baynes had 13 points and 12 rebounds; Chris Matthews had 13 points, two rebounds and two assists; and Robbie Cowgill and Ivory Clark both scored 10 points for the Cougars (10-9, 3-7 Pac-10), who snapped a six-game losing streak by out-scoring the Huskies, 47-29, in the second half.

Brandon Roy -- who made only five of his 15 field goal attempts -- had 21 points, nine rebounds and two assists; Justin Dentmon had 14 points, four rebounds and three steals; and Bobby Jones scored 10 points for Washington (16-5, 5-5 Pac-10).

The Huskies lost for the third straight time.

The Cougars out-rebounded Washington, 33-28 and committed 14 turnovers to 18 by the Huskies.
