COL BKB: Memphis 84, Tulsa 61

TULSA, Okla., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Darius Washington had 22 points, three assists and six rebounds Wednesday night to help 3rd-ranked Memphis trounce Tulsa, 84-61, for its ninth straight win.

Rodney Carney scored 19 points; and Shawne Williams had nine points and seven rebounds for the Tigers (20-2, 6-0 C-USA).

Brett McDade had 18 points and six assists; Anthony Price added 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists; while Sam Mitchell had eight points and two rebounds for the Golden Hurricane (7-12, 2-4 C-USA), who have lost three in a row.

Memphis won the battle of the boards, 36-29.

Tulsa committed 23 turnovers. Memphis made 16.
