
CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Tyler Hansbrough had 21 points and 11 rebounds Saturday to help No. 25 North Carolina beat Arizona, 86-69, in a non-ACC contest at Chapel Hill.
Wes Miller scored 14 points; Reyshawn Terry had 13 points and five rebounds; and Bobby Frasor and David Noel combined for 17 assists for the Tar Heels (12-5), who have won two of their last three games.
Mustafa Shakur had 18 points, four assists and two rebounds; Marcus Williams had 17 points, two assists and two rebounds; and Hassan Adams had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Wildcats (13-7), who were out of conference from the Pac-10 and had their three-game winning streak snapped.
UNC out-rebounded Arizona, 34-30. North Carolina assisted on 23 of its 34 baskets to overcome 13 turnovers. The Wildcats turned the ball over 12 times.
