NHL: Minnesota 3, Phoenix 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Brian Rolston scored two goals Tuesday, including the winner early in the third period as the Minnesota Wild beat the Phoenix Coyotes, 3-2.

Marian Gaborik also scored for the Wild, who have won four in a row for the first time ever in team history. Manny Fernandez made 18 saves in the victory.

Keith Ballard had a goal and an assist for the Coyotes, who have dropped two in a row. Geoff Sanderson also scored for Phoenix while Brian Boucher allowed three goals on 22 shots in defeat.

With the game tied 2-2 in the final period, Rolston put the Wild ahead at the 6:24 mark. He took an outlet pass from Nick Schultz, rushed up the ice into the Phoenix zone, then fired a slap shot that beat Boucher on his stick side.
