NHL: N.Y. Rangers 3, New Jersey 1

NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves Sunday night to help the New York Rangers beat New Jersey, 3-1, breaking the Devils' nine-game winning streak.

Michael Nylander, Petr Prucha and Dominic Moore scored goals; and Martin Rucinsky had two assists for the Rangers (28-14-7), who have won three straight -- and rose to 4-2 in six games against New Jersey this season.

Scott Gomez scored the lone New Jersey goal in the third period on assists by Patrik Elias and Tommy Albelin; and Martin Brodeur made 30 saves for the Devils (25-19-5).

New Jersey went 0-for-5 on the power play. New York was 2-for-4. The Rangers had a 33-32 edge in shots on goal.
