NBA: New Jersey 103, Boston 83

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Vince Carter's 25 points and eight rebounds led the New Jersey Nets in a 103-83 win Saturday over the Boston Celtics at Continental Airlines Arena.

The Nets cut short a two-game winning streak for the Celtics and continued an eight-game winning streak with the win.

Nenad Krstic scored 16 and collected nine rebounds, while Scott Padgett and Jacque Vaughn notched 13 points apiece.

Paul Pierce scored 20 points and posted five rebounds to pace the Celtics.
