Davenport tops Kuznetsova

MELBOURNE, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Top U.S. tennis player Lindsay Davenport breezed past Svetlana Kuznetsova in the fourth round at the 2006 Australian Open.

Davenport, last year's Melbourne and Wimbledon runner-up, beat the Russian player 6-2, 6-4. The three-time Grand Slam winner, will take on eighth-seeded Justine Henin-Hardenne of Belgium.

Henin-Hardenne defeated Spanish doubles specialist Virginia Ruano Pascual 6-0, 6-3.
