
EUGENE, Ore., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Malik Hairston scored a game-high 23 points Saturday as Oregon beat No. 23 Arizona, 73-68.
Hairston added three rebounds and two assists; Aaron Brooks registered 17 points, five rebounds and four assists; Bruce Taylor had 11 points; and Brandon Lincoln and Ivan Johnson both scored 10 for the Ducks (9-8, 3-2 Pac-10) -- who shot 71.4 percent in the second half and have won two straight.
Mustafa Shakur recorded 19 points and three rebounds; Hassan Adams contributed 15 points, three assists and four rebounds; and Ivan Radenovic and Chris Rodgers each scored 12 points for the Wildcats (10-6, 3-3), who have dropped three of their last four contests.
Oregon led by 33-29 at the half, and out-rebounded the Wildcats, 30-28, to overcome 17 turnovers.
