COL BKB: Connecticut 74, Georgetown 67

HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Hilton Armstrong had 19 points, six blocked shots and five rebounds Saturday as 4th-ranked Connecticut beat Georgetown, 74-67.

Marcus Williams had 14 points and eight assists; Rudy Gay added 12 points and five rebounds; and Rashad Anderson scored 12 points for the Huskies (14-1, 2-1 Big East), who have built a three-game winning streak since their only loss of the season to Marquette on Jan. 3.

Brandon Bowman registered 20 points, five rebounds and three assists; Jeff Green added 13 points and eight boards; and Roy Hibbert had 12 points, six rebounds and two assists for the Hoyas (10-4, 2-2 Big East), who have lost two in a row following a seven-game winning streak.

Georgetown has lost 11 straight games to the Huskies.

Both teams had 27 rebounds. UConn committed 17 turnovers to 11 by Georgetown.
