HOBART, Australia, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Michaella Krajicek slammed Iveta Benesova, 6-2, 6-1, Friday in the final of the $145,000 Moorilla Hobart International at Hobart, Australia.
Krajicek, 17, a native of The Netherlands, picked up her second career title in the match, which took less than an hour. Her previous WTA Tour crown came at the Tashkent Open in October.
Krajicek claimed $22,900 for the victory.
"It was one of my best matches in my whole career, even though Iveta said she didn't play that well," Krajicek said. "I'm very happy to win my second title so soon. It gives me a lot of confidence for the Australian Open. I've played a lot of matches and I think I'm in good shape."
Benesova, 22, was thwarted in a bid for her second career title.
