COL BKB: Washington 86, Southern Cal 77

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Brandon Roy collected 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead 13th-ranked Washington to an 86-77 win over Southern California Thursday night.

Bobby Jones added 22 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies (13-2, 2-2 Pac-10), who rebounded from a loss on Saturday to intrastate rival Washington State. The Huskies began their season 11-0 but faltered in their conference opener against Arizona State.

Gabe Pruitt led the way with 21 points for Southern California (11-5, 2-3), which dropped its second straight contest following a two-game winning streak. Nick Young and Lodrick Stewart each added 15 points in the losing effort.
