DENVER, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Alex Tanguay scored in regulation and again in the shootout Saturday to give the Colorado Avalanche a 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Marek Svatos had a power-play goal in the first period and another in the shootout for the Avalanche, which matched a season-best streak with their fourth win in a row. Patrice Brisebois had two assists for Colorado.
Rick Nash and Sergei Fedorov both scored for the Blue Jackets, who fell to 0-9 all-time in Denver. Columbus goaltender Pascal Leclaire had 46 saves in defeat.
