ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Alex Tanguay scored two goals and Marek Svatos netted his 21st tally of the season as Colorado defeated Minnesota, 4-2, Thursday night.

Brett McLean also scored a goal and David Aebischer made 33 saves for the Avalanche, for a third straight win.

Daniel Tjarnqvist and Todd White were responsible for Minnesota's goals.
