SACRAMENTO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- With two starters out injured, one Kings player scored a season-high, another a career high, to push past the Celtics 116-112 at ARCO Arena.

Kenny Thomas hit 29 points and Kevin Martin 22 points -- a career-best -- to give Sacramento its second straight win without forwards Peja Stojakovic and Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

Thomas was averaging under six points a game.

Mike Bibby led the Kings with 33 points and 10 assists.

Ricky Davis had 33 points for the Celtics. Paul Pierce hit 22 points and nine assists but Boston still lost the third straight game on the five-game road trip.
