NBA: Golden State 94, Houston 89

HOUSTON, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Baron Davis had 23 points and seven assists Saturday night as Golden State beat the Houston Rockets, 94-89.

Jason Richardson added 22 points, six rebounds and five assists while Troy Murphy had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors (17-14), who have won three in a row.

Tracy McGrady recorded 32 points and 10 rebounds, Juwan Howard collected 15 points and nine rebounds and Stromile Swift had 17 points and 13 boards for the Rockets (10-18), who have lost five straight.

Houston, which trailed, 49-44 at the half, had a slim 44-41 edge in rebounding.
