COL BKB: Boston Coll. 78, Rhode Island 56

KINGSTON, R.I., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Sean Marshall registered 21 points and four assists Saturday to help 13th-ranked Boston College cruise past Rhode Island, 78-56.

Craig Smith, who went 7-for-7 from the floor, had 20 points and four rebounds while Jared Dudley added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (10-2), who have built a four-game winning streak.

Dawan Robinson collected 19 points and four rebounds while Will Daniels had nine points and three rebounds for the Rams (6-5), who have lost four of their last five games since starting the season 5-1.

BC out-rebounded URI, 28-26. Both teams committed 13 turnovers.
