Brunell probable for Redskins

ASHBURN, Va., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- The Washington Redskins Friday listed quarterback Mark Brunell as probable for Sunday's game at Philadelphia.

He suffered a sprained right knee in last Saturday's 35-20 win over the New York Giants. Earlier this week, an MRI revealed no further damage.

Brunell was hurt during a sack by the Giants' linebacker Nick Greisen early in the third quarter and was replaced by former starter Patrick Ramsey, who again will play if Brunell can't go. Ramsey was 5-of-7 for 104 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions against the Giants.

In a comeback season, Brunell, 35, has thrown for 2,909 yards, a career-high 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Washington (9-6) has constructed a four-game winning streak and needs a win over the Eagles to secure an NFC playoff berth. A Washington win and a Giants' loss at Oakland Saturday night would give the Redskins the NFC East title.
