ST. LOUIS, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- Running back Marshall Faulk may have played his last game as a St. Louis Ram at the Edward Jones Dome.
There has been talk about the Rams not re-signing the 11-year veteran after this season. He was given a standing ovation during Saturday's loss to the lowly San Francisco 49ers, who broke a seven-game losing streak by beating the Rams, 24-20, overcoming a 20-7 deficit in the process.
"If it was his last day here, I'm truly embarrassed," wide receiver Isaac Bruce told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "(Because) it was an embarrassing game. Embarrassing to Marshall and embarrassing to the city of St. Louis. If this was it for him here, I want to thank him. I'm a fan of football, and a fan of his, and he's done a lot to extend my career."
Faulk, now a reserve, has rushed for just 267 yards on 54 attempts in 2005.
