COL FB: California 35, BYU 28

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Marshawn Lynch ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns Thursday night as California beat Brigham Young, 35-28, in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Steve Levy went 16-for-23 passing for 228 yards and two touchdowns while DeSean Jackson added 130 yards and two touchdowns on six catches for the Golden Bears (8-4), who won their final two games of the season.

John Beck was 35-of-53 for 352 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions for the Cougars (6-6). He set Las Vegas Bowl records for completions, attempts and yards, while tying for the most scoring passes.

Cal is 2-1 in the last three years in bowl games while BYU ended the year with two straight losses.
