NEW YORK, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- New York Giants running back Tiki Barber Wednesday was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Barber rushed for a franchise-record 220 yards and two scores last Saturday in the Giants' 27-17 win over Kansas City. It is his fourth career Player of the Week honor and second of 2005. He increased his rushing total to 1,577 yards for the year, breaking his own team record of 1,518 yards set in 2004.

Barber, in his ninth season out of Virginia, was joined in the NFC by Washington end Phillp Daniels (defense) and Chicago punt returner Bernard Berrian (special teams).

Daniels, who recorded five tackles, two quarterback pressures and recovered a fumble in the Redskins' 35-7 rout of Dallas, deflected a pass by Drew Bledsoe on the Cowboys' first offensive play of the game which was intercepted and led to a touchdown.

Berrian made a key 44-yard punt return in the Bears' 16-3 win over Atlanta.
