NEW YORK, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was the top vote getter when the AFC Pro Bowl squad was named Wednesday.

Manning was joined on the team by six teammates, including wide receiver Marvin Harrison, running back Edgerrin James, center Jeff Saturday, defensive end Dwight Freeney, linebacker Cato June and safety Bob Sanders. Indianapolis had an AFC conference-high seven representatives on the squad, the most of any team.

San Diego had six players chosen, including running back LaDainian Tomlinson and tight end Antonio Gates, while both Kansas City and Cincinnati had five players chosen, including quarterback Carson Palmer (Bengals), wide receiver Chad Johnson (Bengals), tight end Tony Gonzalez (Chiefs), and running back Larry Johnson (Chiefs).

The defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots placed only two players on the roster, including quarterback Tom Brady.

The NFL's annual All-Star game will be played Feb. 12 in Honolulu.
