NHL: Nashville 6, Chicago 1

CHICAGO, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Paul Kariya and Vernon Fiddler both scored two goals Wednesday night as Nashville routed the Chicago Blackhawks, 6-1.

Ryan Suter and Yanic Perreault each added a goal and an assist while Steve Sullivan and Jordin Tootoo contributed two assists each and goalie Chris Mason stopped 26-of-27 shots faced for the Predators (22-7-3), who won their fourth straight game and broke a two-game road losing streak.

Matthew Barnaby scored the lone goal, goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin was peppered for four goals on just 12 shots before being pulled in the second period and his replacement, Craig Anderson, stopped 17-of-19 shots faced for the Blackhawks (13-18-2), who lost for the fourth time in their last five games.

Chicago suffered its second loss to the Predators in its last seven games (5-2-0) in Chicago.
