Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Todd White and Marian Gaborik each scored goals in the third period Monday to give the Minnesota Wild a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Stars.
Goaltender Manny Fernandez made 30 saves for the Wild, who have three wins in their last four games.
Brian Rolston picked up his 16th assist of the season in the victory.
Jere Lehtinen got his 19th goal of the year for the Stars, who lost for the first time in three games. Marty Turco made 20 saves in defeat.
Mike Modano extended his point streak to nine games with an assist for Dallas.
