NHL: Los Angeles 4, Vancouver 3 (SO)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Alexander Frolov recorded the lone shootout goal as the visiting Los Angeles Kings topped the Vancouver Canucks, 4-3.

Mathieu Garon did not allow a goal in three shoot-out attempts, and made 22 saves in the game. Craig Conroy and Jeremy Roenick each scored a goal and an assist for the Kings, who have won three straight. Pavol Demitra added two assists, giving him 26 on the year.

Markus Naslund and Steve McCarthy each scored for the Canucks. Daniel Sedin tallied a goal and added an assist for Vancouver.

Goaltender Alex Auld finished with 24 saves.
