Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Vince Carter had 35 points, nine assists and seven rebounds Tuesday while leading the New Jersey Nets to a 99-85 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Richard Jefferson added 20 points and Nenad Kristic 17, as the Nets put together their first three-game winning streak of the season.
Elton Brand had 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Clippers, who have lost four of their last five games. Cuttino Mobley added 15 points and Walter McCarty scored a season-high 13 off the bench for the Clippers.
