COL BKB: Michigan St 85, Florida Intl 58

EAST LANSING, Mich., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Shannon Brown scored 20 points, hitting 5-of-7 from three-point range Sunday, to lead No. 12 Michigan State to an 85-58 victory over Florida International.

Maurice Ager and Paul Davis each added 18 points for the Spartans (9-2), who have won eight in a row. Ager also had 14 rebounds and Davis 11.

Elvis Lora scored 12 points for the Golden Panthers (3-5), who have lost three games in a row and all five road games this season. Facundo Giorgi added 11 points as Florida International was out-rebounded 51-26.

The Golden Panthers played most of the game without leading scorer and rebounder Ivan Almonte, who left after 10 minutes with an injury.
