COL BKB: Illinois 61, Coppin State 42

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- James Augustine had 15 points and nine rebounds and sparked a key second-half run Sunday to lead No. 8 Illinois to a 61-42 victory over Coppin State.

Jamar Smith added 10 points for the unbeaten Illini (11-0). Last year, Illinois won its first 29 games during a season that saw the program advance to the national championship game.

Darryl Proctor had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles (0-8), who have dropped 10 straight games dating back to last season.
