NBA: New Orleans 102, LA Clippers 89

OKLAHOMA CITY, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- J.R. Smith led six Hornets in double figures with 21 points Wednesday as the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 102-89.

David West added 20 points and 12 rebounds and Desmond Mason had 15 points for the Hornets.

Speedy Claxton and P.J. Brown each added 14 points, and Chris Paul had 13 points and eight assists for the Hornets.

Sam Cassell led the Clippers with 26 points and Elton Brand added 22 in the loss. Cuttino Mobley scored 16 points for Los Angeles, which has lost three straight games.
