NHL: New Jersey 2, Edmonton 1 (OT)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Viktor Kozlov scored the game-winning goal in the shootout Tuesday to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Richard Matvichuk scored the lone regulation goal for New Jersey. Martin Brodeur made 29 saves and stopped both shooters he faced in the shootout for the Devils, who stopped their second four-game losing streak of the season.

Cory Cross got the only goal for the Oilers, who have lost three of their last four games. Ty Conklin made 27 saves in regulation, but gave up the winning goal in the shootout.
