NBA: Denver 101, Charlotte 85

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored a career-high 42 points Tuesday to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 101-85 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Anthony hit 13-of-18 from the field and made 15-of-18 at the foul line, as the Nuggets won for the fourth time in five games. Kenyon Martin and Earl Watson each added 13 points while Andre Miller totaled 11 points and 11 assists for Denver.

Emeka Okafor had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Charlotte, which suffered its eighth consecutive loss. Kareem Rush and Sean May each added 13 points while Brevin Knight had a 16 assists for the Bobcats.
