SEATTLE, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Matt Hasselbeck threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns Sunday as Seattle buried the hapless San Francisco 49ers, 41-3.

The win gave the Seahawks their franchise record ninth straight victory.

Bobby Engram scored two touchdowns on six catches for 65 yards; MVP candidate Shaun Alexander rushed for 108 yards and a score on 21 carries; and Joe Jurevicius added four catches for 63 yards and one score for the Seahawks (11-2), who have clinched the NFC West crown. They remained in the hunt for home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Rookie Alex Smith was only 9-of-22 for 77 yards and one interception while Kevan Barlow had just 33 yards on 11 carries for the 49ers (2-11), who have lost six in a row and are 1-11 since an opening day victory over the St. Louis Rams.
