NFL: Pittsburgh 21, Chicago 9

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Aging running back Jerome Bettis rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns Sunday as Pittsburgh beat the Chicago Bears, 21-9.

Bettis, who had 17 attempts, was the subject of an item on the pre-game show on Fox Sports, which showed him struggling to climb stairs because of leg soreness each Monday following a game.

Ben Roethlisberger was 13-of-20 for 173 yards and one touchdown; Willie Parker added 68 yards on 21 attempts; and the Steelers gained 190 rushing yards overall on a snowy day at Heinz Field.

Kyle Orton was 17-for-35 for 207 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions, and Thomas Jones ran for 72 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries for the Bears (9-4), who had an eight-game winning streak snapped.

Chicago is one game up on Minnesota for first place in the NFC North Division after the Vikings' 27-13 win over St. Louis.
