PITTSBURGH, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Mark Recchi had a goal and an assist Saturday to help lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
Dick Tarnstrom, Erik Christensen and Maxime Talbot also scored for the Penguins, who ended a six-game losing streak. Lasse Pirjeta added two assists and Marc-Andre Fleury made 23 saves in the win.

Milan Hejduk, Dan Hinote and Marek Svatos each scored a goal for the Avalanche. Joe Sakic and Alex Tanguay each had an assist and Colorado goalie Vitaly Kolesnik allowed four goals on 35 shots.
