COL BKB: Notre Dame 78, Alabama 71

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Colin Falls scored 24 points Wednesday night and sank seven three-pointers as Notre Dame knocked off 19th-ranked Alabama, 78-71.

Torin Francis scored 14 points and Russell Carter and Chris Quinn each had 11 points for the Irish (3-2), who picked up their first road win of the season.

Chuck Davis scored a career-high 29 points and grabbed seven boards while Alonzo Gee added 15 points and five rebounds for the Crimson Tide (4-2), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Notre Dame won the rebounding battle, 36-31, and won the game despite committing 18 turnovers to Alabama's 14.
