COL BKB: Michigan St 72, Ark-LittleRock 67

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Paul David scored 23 points and Maurice Ager had 22 Saturday as 14th-ranked Michigan State posted a 72-67 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock.

Shannon Brown added 14 points for the Spartans (5-2), who shook off a poor first half for their fourth straight win.

Lekheythan Malone led Arkansas-Little Rock with 19 points, while Elijah Muldrow added 15. The Trojans (3-2) played tough for the entire 40 minutes against their ranked opponent, but saw a three-game winning streak come to an end.

Michigan State took a 44-32 lead on Brown's three-pointer early in the second half. The Trojans kept plugging and pulled within 47-42 on a Malone foul shot with less than 10 minutes to go.
