
BLACKSBURG, Va., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Cedric Humes and Branden Ore combined for three second-half touchdowns Saturday night as fifth-ranked Virginia Tech beat North Carolina, 30-3.
Humes rushed for a career-best 134 yards on 20 attempts while Ore had 104 yards on 17 carries. Quarterback Marcus Vick, who threw only two passes in the second half, was 8-of-15 passing for 61 yards with one touchdown pass, no interceptions, and added 22 yards on five rushing attempts for the Hokies (10-1, 7-1 ACC), who wrapped up the ACC's Coastal Division title and will face Florida State next Saturday night at Jacksonville in the league's first-ever championship game.
Matt Baker was 15-of-41 for 160 yards, no touchdowns and one interception, and Jesse Holley made four catches for 49 yards for the Tar Heels (5-6, 4-4 ACC), who gained only 196 total yards for the game and were eliminated from bowl consideration.
