COL BKB: Mich. State 84, IUPU 73

EAST LANSING, Mich., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Paul Davis had 30 points and 14 rebounds Sunday as 12th-ranked Michigan State beat Indiana U.-Perdue U. Fort Wayne, 84-73.

Davis shot 12-of-17 from the floor and was 6-for-6 from the foul line while Maurice Ager added 20 points and Shannon Brown had 12 points and five assists for the Spartans (3-2), who won their home opener and have won two in a row after a triple-overtime loss to Gonzaga on Tuesday at the Maui Invitational.

Justin Hawkins had 13 points and Brad Pompey added 10 points and seven assists for the Mastodons (1-3), who scored the game's first eight points but lost their second straight contest.

MSU went on a 19-7 run, highlighted by Ager's three- pointer with 10:50 remaining, to make it a 61-45 game. The Spartans had a big 39-22 edge in rebounding.
