COL BKB: Illinois 55, Wichita State 54

NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Warren Carter scored with 1.4 seconds remaining Friday as 16th-ranked Illinois overcame Wichita State, 55-54.

Overall, Carter scored eight points, while James Augustine had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Shaun Pruitt finished with 10 points for Illinois (4-0).

Paul Miller had a team-high 18 points and Kyle Wilson added 12 points for the Shockers (3-1).

The Bruins won the rebounding battle, 27-25.

Illinois will face Rutgers in the championship game Saturday night. The Scarlet Knight topped Kent State, 55-52, earlier in the day.
