
ATLANTA, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Al Harrington compiled 34 points and six rebounds Wednesday night as Atlanta beat the Boston Celtics, 120-117, for its first win of the season.
Zaza Pachulia had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while rookie Salim Stoudamire scored 19 points and Joe Johnson, who sank three free throws in the final minute to seal the win, scored 13 points for Atlanta (1-9).
Paul Pierce had 33 points, six rebounds and six assists, Ricky Davis had 25 points and seven assists, Raef LaFrentz added 18 points, and Dan Dickau scored 14 for Boston (4-7), which remained winless in four road games this season.
The Celtics, who had a huge 38-25 edge in rebounding, have lost four of their last five overall. Atlanta was able to win despite making nine turnovers in the fourth quarter.
