COL BKB: Bucknell 74, Syracuse 69

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Kevin Bettencourt scored 20 points and went 7-of-8 from the free-throw line in the final two minutes Tuesday as Bucknell upset 19th-ranked Syracuse, 74-69.

Charles Lee added 18 points and Chris McNaughton had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Bucknell (2-0), which earned its first-ever win over Syracuse in nine meetings.

Demetris Nichols led Syracuse (3-2) with 19 points, while Gerry McNamara scored 18 points. Syracuse made just 9-of-24 three-pointers on the night.

Terrence Roberts had 12 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out for Syracuse, which has lost two straight following a 3-0 start.
