Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DENVER, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 25 points Friday night to help the Denver Nuggets beat the New York Knicks, 95-86.
Marcus Camby added 20 points and 13 rebounds against his former team while Andre Miller had 12 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, and Francisco Elson had 12 points for the Nuggets (5-5), who have won two in a row, three of their last four games and all four of their home contests at the start of the season.
Rookie Channing Frye had 22 points and eight rebounds, Jamal Crawford scored 17, Nate Robinson had 14 points, and Malik Rose had seven points and five rebounds for the Knicks (2-7), who have dropped two straight.
The Knicks out-rebounded Denver, 49-43.
