CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Cedric Humes rushed for three touchdowns Saturday as 6th-ranked Virginia Tech destroyed arch-rival Virginia, 52-14.

Quarterback Marcus Vick -- who committed six turnovers in last week's 27-7 loss to Miami -- bounced back nicely, going 15-for-21 passing for 170 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Humes had 11 yards on 17 carries.

Branden Ore tacked on 115 yards and scored twice on 15 carries, and Eddie Royal added a 24-yard scoring catch for the Hokies (9-1, 6-1 ACC). Virginia Tech increased its winning streak over the Cavaliers to six straight.

Marques Hagans was 17-of-30 for 140 yards, no touchdowns and two critical interceptions. In his final home game, tailback Wali Lundy ran for two scores for Virginia (6-4, 3-4 ACC).

The Hokies led, 24-0, at halftime.

Virginia Tech collected 506 total yards, including 336 on the ground, and compiled 30 first downs to Virginia's 17.
