SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Brady Quinn passed for 270 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as 7th-ranked Notre Dame easily beat Syracuse, 34-10.
Quinn was 21-of-37 and had no interceptions. Jeff Samardzija and Maurice Stovall both caught touchdown passes; Darius Walker ran for 123 yards and a score on 26 attempts; and Leo Ferrine added a touchdown on an interception return for the Fighting Irish (8-2), who have won four in a row since their lone setback of the season against top-ranked Southern California on Oct. 15.
Quinn has thrown a touchdown pass in 15 straight games, while Walker reached the 100-yard plateau for the sixth time this season.
In a dismal performance, Perry Patterson went 9-of-22 for 78 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Damien Rhodes rushed for 112 yards on 22 carries for Syracuse (1-9), which has dropped eight straight games.
